We have owned Chesapeake Bay Retrievers since 1995. Chessieville Bay is a New Jersey based Hobby Breeder of Chesapeake Bay Retrievers competing in conformation, obedience, agility and hunt tests. Most importantly, we are breeding healthy and temperamentally sound companions. Our adult dogs and puppies are enjoying our idyllic multi-acre property and we are surrounded by meadows, streams, ponds and anything that would make these hunting dogs feel like they are living in paradise!

OUR LITTERS
We take each breeding very seriously. The Dam and her pups will not be left alone for the first two weeks after whelping. We are following the recommendations of the Puppy Culture way of raising puppies www.puppyculture.com. As soon as they open their ears, and they are starting to hear, they are listening to “Nature CD’s” that include thunder, gun shots, barking dogs, wind and also calming puppy music.
